Whatever the Choice
After the success of the Covid Safety Series, the New American Association of Massachusetts (NAAM) hired me to work on a short video for their social page that would encourage community involvement amongst their immigrant and refugee clientele. Their request was to create a video that promoted vaccination but did not feel like propaganda. After many brainstorming sessions, we chose to create a text-heavy video that emphasized the importance of community and the need to stand together. I wrote, directed, edited and created motion graphics for this video.
The Brandon Tree
I produced and edited The Brandon Tree. It's a short film that talks about loss, friendship, and mental illness. Two friends reunite at a place from their youth to remember their friend and bandmate who passed away. They struggle to talk to each other after the loss, so they use drugs and share stories from the past to try to understand what happened. They need to come to terms with the complicated legacy of their friend, who was both talented and troubled. And they have to figure out how to move forward and continue with their lives.

The series was a huge hit and assisted the organization in spreading the importance of hand-washing, mask-wearing, social distancing, etc. to its non-English speaking clientele.
