For BBC America’s Doctor Who Watch Party, I helped bring together a live fan event featuring cast, special guests, and a whole lot of Doctor Who enthusiasm. I handled everything from location scouting and talent booking to coordinating guests and managing production logistics on the day of the event.
After the watch party, I edited the post-show panel into a trailer that gave fans a look at the event and helped capture the energy of watching Doctor Who together. The trailer reached 3.6 million viewers.
Through intimate interviews with artists, writers, and editors, and a behind-the-scenes look at its collaborative creative process, the film explores how The Rail has continually defied conventions of both media and art criticism. At its heart, this is a story about community—about how conversation itself can be an act of resistance, and how a single publication can shape the cultural landscape of New York and beyond.
I produced, directed and edited the promotional video for the New American Association of Massachusetts’s Afghan Women’s Workshop. This program brings together women hailing from Afghanistan to sew clothes and sell their products at local markets. Women learn craft skills and entrepreneurship from this program. The video was screened at a community event.
The New American Association of Massachusetts supports newly arrived immigrants and refugees find their new homes in Massachusetts. This documentary follows the stories of the clients and supporters of the organization as they forge forward, despite all obstacles.
Created a short form documentary about The New American Association of Massachusetts’s work. I produced, directed and edited this piece about the clients and employees of the organization and the incredible work that is done to support newcomers from all over the world.
The piece highlights the urgent need for prison reform, with a focus on how incarceration disproportionately impacts people of color, seniors, and LGBTQ+ communities.
